The Chicago Laboratory of Emotion and Physiology conducts multi-method research to explore the relation between mood and anxiety disorders; the nature and familial transmission of emotional disorders; and basic questions in affective science. To this end, our research program integrates clinical and epidemiological approaches with neuroscience and psychophysiological methods. We are based in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois at Chicago, and have strong collaborations with researchers in the UIC Departments of Psychiatry and Pharmacy and at other institutions.
